Industrial aluminum profiles are an alloy material mainly composed of aluminum. By hot melting and extrusion of aluminum rods, aluminum materials with different cross-sectional shapes are obtained. However, the proportion of added alloys varies, and the mechanical properties and application fields of the produced industrial aluminum profiles also vary. After oxidation, the surface of industrial aluminum profiles has a very beautiful appearance. When assembled into products, specialized aluminum profile accessories are used, which do not require welding, are more environmentally friendly, and are extremely convenient to install, disassemble, carry, and move. They are widely used in automated mechanical equipment, sealing frames, conveyor belts, elevators, dispensing machines, testing equipment, and so on. Figure 6-1 shows two types of frames built using aluminum profiles< Br/>


In recent years, China's aluminum profile processing industry has developed rapidly, and the production of industrial aluminum profiles has surpassed that of the United States to become the world's first. The product variety is not only complete, but the quality has steadily improved, and the quality level has been in the international advanced ranks. This book mainly uses domestically produced industrial aluminum profiles and their accessories as an example to introduce how to use industrial aluminum profiles and their accessories to build racks< Br/>


1.   Aluminum profiles



The types of aluminum profiles produced domestically mainly include 20 series, 30 series, 35 series, 40 series, 50 series, 60 series, 80 series, 90 series, and 100 series. Each series has different models, and the cross-section of aluminum profiles is also different. Taking the 40 series as an example, we will provide a detailed introduction to industrial aluminum profiles and their accessories< Br/>


(1) 40 series aluminum profile model name format



The specific model name format for the 40 series aluminum profiles is: xx-8-40xx □, and the specific meanings of each part are:



Xx: Usually defined by the manufacturer themselves, it is usually an abbreviation of the English letters of the manufacturer's name< Br/>


8: The aluminum profile of this model uses M8 bolts and T-nuts, which are also the slot width code of the aluminum profile< Br/>


40: represents that the model is a 40 series aluminum profile, and also represents that the width of the aluminum profile is 40mm. In the arc shaped cross-section aluminum profile, it represents the radius of the arc< Br/>


Xx: This is a number representing the height of the aluminum profile< Br/>


□: This is a capital English letter, representing the cross-sectional shape of the aluminum profile< Br/>


(2) The main models of 40 series aluminum profiles



The main models of the 40 series aluminum profiles include 8-4040A, 8-4040B, 8-4040C, 8-4040D, 8-4040GE, 8-4040GF, 8-4040GG, 8-4040R, 8-4080, 8-4080G, and 8-4080GA. The appearance and cross-section of each model are shown in the following figure:
