CNC machine tool programming, also known as CNC programming, refers to the programmer's requirement based on part drawings and process documents. The following are the programming steps for CNC machine tools that I have carefully prepared. SDSK Deep Engraving CNC has organized them for you to refer to< Br/>


1. Analyze part drawings and process requirements



The purpose of analyzing part drawings and process requirements is to determine machining methods, develop machining plans, and confirm issues related to production organization. The content of this step includes:



1) Determine which type or machine tool the part should be arranged for processing< Br/>


2) What kind of fixture or clamping method should be used< Br/>


3) Determine which type of tool to use or how many tools to use for machining< Br/>


4) Determine the machining route, which includes selecting the tool alignment point, program starting point (also known as machining starting point, which often coincides with the tool alignment point), tool path, and program endpoint (program endpoint often coincides with the program starting point)< Br/>


5) Determine cutting parameters such as cutting depth and width, feed rate, and spindle speed< Br/>


6) Determine whether coolant is required during the machining process, whether tool replacement is required, and when to do so< Br/>


2. Numerical calculation



Calculate the contour data of the part based on the geometric dimensions of the part drawing, or calculate the running trajectory data of the tool center (or tip) based on the part drawing and cutting route. The ultimate goal of numerical calculation is to obtain all relevant positional coordinate data required for programming< Br/>


3. Write processing program sheet



After completing the above two steps, the machining program can be written according to the program format and code format required by the CNC system based on the determined machining scheme (or plan) and numerical calculation data. Programmers should not only understand the functions of the CNC machine tool and system used, be familiar with program instructions, but also possess process knowledge related to mechanical processing in order to develop correct and practical programs; Processing program< Br/>


4. Create control media and input program information



After the program is completed, the programmer or machine operator can directly input the program information into the CNC system program memory through the operation panel of the CNC machine tool in EDIT mode; Depending on the input and output devices of the CNC system, the program can also be made or transferred to a certain control medium. Most control media use perforated tapes, which can also be information carriers such as magnetic tapes and disks.
